Dungog Tea Party
Entries for the children's art competition as part of the Dungog Tea party close this Friday.
The children have the chance to win first, second and third prizes in each catergory.
Entrants need to drop their works to the Dungog Visitor Information Centre by 5pm. Don't forget to put your name, age and school on the back of the artwork. If not at school ensure a phone number is on the work.
For more information you can email dungogteaparty@gmail.com or phone 4992 3692.
The children's artwork will be displayed at Lovey's IGA.
Dungog Arts Society
Thanks to the generosity of local sponsors Dungog Arts Society is able to offer additional prizes for young artists in this year's annual exhibition.
Several sponsors this year are specifically tagging their donations for youth awards which means the introduction of a Junior division (up to and including 12 years) and a Senior division (12 to 18 years).
There will be awards for first, second and third in each division in the categories of painting/drawing and photography.
"The prizes will be a great incentive for young people to have a go and be creative offering cash of $150 for first, $100 for second and $50 for third," said Joan Dawson from the society.
"The Dungog Arts Society is very appreciative of the great community support and the caring attitude that is allowing us to offer greater rewards and encouragement for talented children to increase their skills in art," said Mrs Dawson.
