Caitlin and Georgia McDonald from Glen William Public School have entered the record books following the Hunter small schools zone swimming carnival earlier this year.
Georgia set a record in the 9 years girls freestyle with a time of 0.43.22 smashing the previous record of 0.47.69.
In the junior girls breaststroke Caitlin made the record books with a time of 0.50.78, a convincing break of the old record of 1.01.05. In the junior girls 200m individual medley, Caitlin swam a record breaking 4.01.59 to beat the previous record of 4.26.63.
They progressed to regionals where they also performed well, but swam just short of taking home a medal.
The girls swim every second weekend with the Stroud Seals. They train four days a week at Raymond Terrace for an hour under the guidance of coach Michael Abel.
"They are exceptional athletes and very dedicated," school principal Kristy Bultitude said.
"The whole school is very proud of them."
