The LLT team travelled to Shortland and found themselves with a much tougher game than the week before.
Shortland were a well drilled side whose defence made the Warriors ladies work hard all game.
Georgia Townsend and Beth Marshall both made good ground with the ball but were unable to crack the Devils defence.
Dungog worked hard in defence but it all proved to much when Shortland scored a converted try after 15 minutes. Just before half-time Shortland looked certain to score only for Amelia Morris and Beth Marshall to run down the Devils player.
The second half started with both teams struggling to breach their opponent's line. However, at the 10 minute mark Amelia Morris retrieved a last tackle kick before beating several defenders and raced 70m to cross for an unconverted try.
Not long after Shortland's No.7 dived over from dummy half to extend the lead to 10-4 with 10 to go.
The Warriors ladies appear to have is plenty of character and they stuck to their guns and were rewarded shortly after when Lilly Hooke ran 80m to score under the posts.
Olivia Buckley calmly kicked the conversion.

In the men's the Warriors found themselves under the pump early with Hinton crossing for a converted try after two minutes.
The Warriors were having trouble hanging onto the ball but did go close to scoring after 15 minutes only to lose the ball over the line. Their fullback was sin-binned for 10 minutes.
The Hornets were quick to capatilise adding their second try lead 12-0.
The Warriors got on the scoreboard when halfback Nathan Price threw a great cut out pass for Chris Nevin to go over for a converted try.
A mistake from the restart had Hinton once again in good field position and three tackles later they were in for another.
They then lost their halfback to the sinbin for 10 which had the Warriors on the attack and Price put Nick Barnes on a 45m run only for a mistake at dummy half to end the raid.
Hinton found themselves with a 22-6 lead inside the first 10 minutes of the second half as Dungog struggled with ball control. The Hornets had another player sent to the sinbin.
Dungog were looking down the barrell with 20 to go but Harry Boorer narrowed the deficit when he crossed from dummy half for a converted try.
On the back of a good run from Matt Hinton the ball went through the hands for winger Steven Muddle to score in the corner to have Dungog six behind with 10 to play.
Not long after Muddle looked to have scored only to have the try disallowed leaving Hinton 22-16 winners.

Dungog's next games are both at home on Wednesday, April 24, against Maitland United at Bennett Park with the ladies kicking off at 6.30pm followed by the men.
