A world class line-up of riders took full advantage of near perfect conditions which greeted the riders for the Dungog round of the championship.
IContinuing their perfect streaks from Toowoomba, Daniel Milner and Daniel Sanders were victorious in their respective E2 and E3 classes. Kyron Bacon in EJ and Luke Styke in E1, also finished Saturday with the coveted top spot in their classes.
In the Junior classes, coming out on top for Round 3 was Billy Hargy, Riley McGillivray and Blake Hollis for their respective J2, J3 and J4 classes.
AORC Masters, Veterans and Women's where also in action with Kirk Hutton, Lee Stephens and Jessica Gardiner taking the wins respectively.
Breathing hard down Styke's neck was Dungog's Michael Driscoll, with a total time of 42:35.031. The Active8 Yamaha Yamalube teammates were followed by Husqvarna Enduro Racing Team's Fraser Higlett with a total time of 42:39.572.
Maintaining his perfect 2018 season and winning streak up north in Toowoomba, Milner was comfortable as he navigated the Off-Road Advantage Enduro Test and WR 450F Cross Test. With a total time of 40:57.420, Milner led the charge ahead of Hunter rider Josh Green, from the Active8 Yamaha Yamalube team, by just over one minute.
Scott Keegan was third with a total time of 43:20.579.
Gardiner and the other riders were delighted with the conditions at Dungog.
"The trail is really good with some slippery sections that definitely keep us on our toes. The Dungog Motorcycle Club have outdone themselves this weekend in making this event tough from start to finish!
Styke took home the class in his division on both days and has now taken control of the E1 championship lead with four of the eleven rounds completed.
"It was also good to have some good riding conditions and the club did a great job marking out the course and ensuring there was something for all levels of riders out there," Styke said.
Green claimed second in class on both days behind Daniel Milner and was third outright in a much better showing than the first two rounds.
Green credits the improvement to gaining more knowledge on the WR450F in race conditions as well as some leading up testing that proved vital for the conditions faced at Dungog.
"This weekend was better for me and I was able to grab third outright each day so that's a step in the right direction. Milner and Sanders are world class riders but I'm busting my butt trying to close the gap on them."
