Garden Releaf Australia aims to generate greater awareness of the health and wellbeing benefits associated with enjoying living greenery.
According to Janice Bonamy from Country Elegance, gardeners know that flowers, plants and gardens "make us feel great".
"We support Garden Releaf so we can spread this message further, particularly to encourage people who may be struggling a little to get out into a garden," she said.
"We would love to see more of our local community get involved with the #30greenminute challenge".
Knowing the role garden therapy can play in supporting positive mental health, Garden Releaf Day also aims to raise money to support the work of Beyond Blue.
"Being outside in a garden, in a park or hiking along a trail can do wonders for your physical health and mental wellbeing," Beyond Blue CEO Georgie Harman said.
"Garden Releaf is all about encouraging people to stop and smell the roses, to enjoy nature and take their minds off the stress in their lives.
"In total, Garden Releaf has raised more than $226,000 for Beyond Blue. This is an amazing contribution which has provided free and immediate mental health support to more than 4700 people via our Support Service.
"We are extremely grateful to have the continued support of the Garden Releaf campaign."
