Dungog Hospital Auxiliary members have bid farewell to one of their members.

The ladies met at Dungog Pizza on February 13 to share a meal and farewell Deidre Briscombe.

Deidre was a popular member of the auxiliary for seven years and has moved to Victoria to be closer to relatives.

James Lovegrove from Lovey's IGA was a welcome guest at the event.

Mr Lovegrove presented the members with a cheque for $1450 which were the proceeds from the IGA's cheese and wine night held during last year's Dungog Festival.

Ronda Tyne from the auxiliary said the members were thrilled with the generous donation from IGA.

The auxiliary has been busy fundraising, working towards buying a bladder scanning machine for the hospital.

New members are always welcome - the meetings are held at Dungog Neighbourcare, next door to the hospital, at 2pm on the third Wednesday of the month.
