Members from the brigade have recently volunteered to fight fires in the snowy mountains area.
Prior to Christmas the brigade also sent members to help out in the Bundaberg fires in Queensland.
The brigade was formed in 1988 when a group of local got together with Dungog Shire Council.
One of the founding members was its first Captain, John Maher, who served in the position for 26 years.
Mr Maher joined the current brigade members in late November last year to mark the 30th anniversary of the brigade.
There are around 35 members of the brigade with 10 active members who meet once a month for training and maintenance.
The brigade comes under the banner of the Lower Hunter Zone
