Everyone seems to love a Lions Christmas cake – and the clients receiving Meals on Wheels in the shire can now be added to that list.
Dungog Lions Club donated mini sized cakes to Dungog and District Neighbourcare to add a little Christmas cheer to the meal recipients. The cakes were a nice surprise for clients when they went out with the meals delivered in Christmas week.
Care Co-Ordinator at Neighbourcare, Kim Windebank said the generous gesture was appreciated.
“On behalf of our Meals on Wheels clients we say a very big thank you to the Lions Club,” she said.
“The individual Christmas Cakes were gratefully received by all and we’ve had wonderful feedback.
“The Lions Club work hard for the community and this is just one example of their generosity.”
