The annual Dowling Street Christmas Party this year featured a live nativity scene complete with three wise men riding camels and Mary riding a donkey.
The free, family-orientated event was hosted by the Dungog District Chamber of Commerce with support from the Dungog Council on December 5.
Families took the brief to come dressed in their favourite Christmas outfit which even included some dazzling four-legged friends.
Students from Joeys Pre School and Dungog High provided wonderful entertainment ahead of the large street parade featuring vintage cars and tractors and of course the arrival of Santa this year on a quad bike.
There was face painting for children from Becs facepainting and the Clarence Town Bowling Clubs jumping castle got a great workout.

The Combined Churches Christmas Carols in the James Theatre topped off a wonderful evening.
Loveys IGA Wine, Beer and Food Night attracted a great crowd keen to sample a range of fine wines, craft beers, premium spirits and array of cheeses, meats, pastes and chutneys perfect for charcuterie grazing plates.
All proceeds from this event went to the Dungog Hospital Auxiliary.
