To say the batsmen were on top was a monumental understatement as Wallarobba’s David Slade led the way with an unbeaten 190 as his side compiled a total of 3-375 from 35 overs.
Nick Tighe also contributed 82 not out as the ball was belted around Vacy Oval.
But the fun wasn’t over and Stockmans launched a spirited reply amassing a normally formidable 5-275 from their 35 overs.
Peter Bashman finished with 101 not out and Jacob Hojer was also unbeaten on 67. Mark Driscoll started the assault with a quick-fire 54, but Stockmans still fell 100 short of their target.
The contrast in proceedings at Reg Ford Oval between Bunnies and Clarence Town could hardly be more stark with Slade’s 190 almost matching the combined total of the two sides.
Clarence Town would have been full of confidence of completing their second win of the season when they dismissed Bunnies for 116 in the 23rd over.
After the opening five batsman were dismissed for a combined total of 18, Chris McDonald (19) and Ethan Curtin-Edwards (21) led a fightback before Mitch Rumbel made what turned out to be a match-winning 41.
Gary Grout (4-31) and Will Threlfo (4-29) did the majority of the damage with Tim Hancock (2-18) picking up the final two wickets.
Bunnies’ bowlers struck regularly to dismiss Clarence Town for 94 in the 25th over.
Curtin-Edwards 3-26, Brendon Cox 3-28, Joe Gorton 2-18 and Kris Lawrence 2-13 shared the wickets as only four Clarence Town batsmen made double figures led by 14 to David Jenkins.
Karuah Red collected the points after Gresford forfeited their round five fixture.
