Some great events coming up at Clarence Town include the Clarence Town River Country Hoedown on the weekend of October 27 at Clarence Town Football Oval.
This is the third time that the event has been held and this year will feature more than 10 hours of quality outdoor country music in the picturesque rural setting of Clarence Town.
2017 Female Artist of the Year, Sara Storer will perform on the main stage, plus something for everyone with many more talented and popular artists performing. Bring your family and friends along to enjoy the entertainment, markets, and kids rides, as well as a variety of tasty foods from vendors and a fully licensed bar.
Make a weekend of it and stay over at Williams River Holiday Park and even take a horse and carriage tour of Clarence Town on your way to/from the Hoedown with one of the pickup points being the Holiday Park.
The third Clarence Town Swim-in and (Military Vehicle) Rally will be held in Clarence Town November 1 to 4, with a parade through town on Saturday morning and a display of vehicles at the Village Green. Other activities will include drives to the Barrington Tops on Friday and to Paterson, a 1940s re-enactment in the vicinity of the Erringhi Hotel and a classic car show hosted by the Dungog Historic Motor Club at the Clarence Town Bowling Sport and Recreation Club.
The swim-in and rally will be based at the Williams River Holiday Park. It was a fantastic success in 2017, so don’t miss out on seeing this wonderful gathering of military and civilian vehicles.
We are also excited to announce the Dowling Street, Christmas Party will take place on December 5 from 5pm. A great success last year, the party is designed to promote local businesses and bring the community together for a positive shared family experience.
This year businesses will offer extended trading hours. There will be local stalls, entertainment, competitions and a street parade with Santa.
Lovey’s IGA Food and Wine Fair in Dowling St and the Combined Churches will hold Christmas Carols in the James Theatre on the same evening.
