The Challenge is a joint project conducted by the University of Newcastle and the local community aimed at inspiring young people to consider a career in the sciences, engineering or other technology-related areas.
Chairman of the Midcoast committee John Walton said the hands-on competitive nature of the Challenge allowed students to experience the creative side of science and engineering in a fun atmosphere.
The Dungog Discovery day is proudly bought to Dungog by the MIDCOAST Challenge committee and the Rotary Club of Dungog and sponsored by MIDCOAST water, Manning Valley Race Club, Stratford Coal, AGL Energy and the Rotary club’s of MIDCOAST council.
