Mixtures battled the heat and Bay Breakers in last Saturday’s Senior 3 preliminary final to record a 31-20 win.

Unbeaten this season, BG’s booked their spot in the Senior 2 grand final with a 53-20 win against Outsiders in the major semi-final.
Outsiders are back for another shot at upsetting BG’s perfect record after defeating Here For Beer 27-25 in the preliminary final. The Senior 2 grand final is on Court 2 at 2pm.
Dungog’s Intermediate 2 team Little Devils almost pulled off an incredible comeback win against KAOS (Medowie) in Saturday’s preliminary finals.
KAOS led 19-9 at half-time but Little Devils refused to give in and reduced the margin to 23-15 at the final break before an outstanding final quarter in which they scored 10 goals to four. Unfortunately, the margin was just too big and KAOS prevailed 27-25.
Meanwhile, Tanzanites carry Paterson River Netball Club’s hopes in the Maitland netball grand finals on Saturday.
The youngsters defeated Bellas 28-13 in the 11-years division three final and meet HVGS Stars in the grand final.
Paterson teams Odyssey and Day Released bowed out of the B3 and B4 finals with preliminary final losses to Impact and All Sort respectively.
