More than 800 runners are expected to take part in the usual events including the Maitland Mile and four, eight and 12 kilometre runs.
The program has been expanded this year to include a half-marathon (21.1) with the course taking in the usual river route before heading out to Maitland Park.
Event organiser Paul Humphreys, from H Events, said he expected a late rush of entries and urged people to enter online or take advantage of a special entry facility at major sponsors River Realty on Saturday.
Fun runners or serious competitors alike can pop into River Realty, at 5 Church Street, just up from the Levee between 10am to 2pm and enter.
Entries will also be taken on the day, but runners are reminded they need to have completed the entry process 40 minutes before their race.
Humphreys expects the Maitland Mile to be as hotly contested as usual in both the men’s and women’s categories.
He said there had been strong interest in the half-marathon and a quality field as well as first-timers were expected to make it a great spectacle..
