Dungog RSL Sub-Branch President Neil Tickle estimated there was upwards of 350 people inside the club’s auditorium for the 10.30am service.
The dawn service was also well attended.
While the wet weather forced the cancellation of the march and the relocation to the RSL Club, the 10.30am service saw a range of schools, community groups and service men and women in attendance.
Family members also proudly wore relatives’ medals.
The Dungog Choir led the national anthem and two hymns while Padre Gordon Crimp delivered a bible reading.
Representatives from Dungog High, Dungog Public and St Joseph’s Primary schools all delivered prayers.
Rob Munroe from the Infantry at Singleton delivered the address at the 10.30am service while Wing Commander Sharon Goad from Williamtown delivered the address at the Dawn Service.
