FUN: Sam Rumbel, Karen Hancock and Karen Nairn got right into the spirit of the charity day at Dungog Commonwealth Bank to raise funds to provide more Clown Doctors.

It may have been Friday 13th but there was nothing black about the Dungog branch of the Commonwealth bank as staff dressed up to support Clown Doctors.

The staff sold cupcakes kindly donated by Barrington Bakery and Shaw’s Williams River Bakery to raise $151.40 for the charity – and put a smile on customer’s faces.

Clown Doctors is the core program of The Humour Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation that provides medical clowns to sick children in hospital, treating them with a different kind of medicine – fun and laughter.

Karen Hancock, Dungog Commonwealth Bank Branch Manager, said her team had been supporting the Clown Doctors for more than 19 years.

“Through our fundraising we hope to help Clown Doctors provide more Clown Rounds across Australia.”
