Sarah Crawford, this year’s Dunog Festival Coordinator, is seeking volunteers for the event to be held over the long weekend in October (September 28 to October 1).
“We are searching for talent, including key Organisational Volunteers,” she said.
“As a volunteer, you get to enjoy Dungog Festival from the inside, know you are giving back to your community and enjoy the company of friends both new and old in a worthwhile endeavour.”
Ms Crawford said the key Organisational Volunteers included one more team member for each of the long table dinner and the gala street parade and an additional three team members for the Sunday street party.
“These roles should not be greatly time-consuming, but will require some concentrated time in the month prior to the Festival,” she said.
“There are other roles as well, dependent on the amount of time you have. There is always a team of volunteers working with Organisational Volunteers and from past experience, these types of roles are very rewarding.
“This is a community Festival, meant to benefit our community. It's a great way to meet people and make strong connections to our community. It's an amazing opportunity to share all the things you love about Dungog and help showcase the best the old girl can be.”
Ms Crawford said the festival is also looking for support volunteers for the core events and partner events.
If you are interested in volunteering in any capacity, you can email dungogfestivalcoordinator@gmail.com for an application form or phone or text your email address to 0410 332 236 or 0430 058 040.
