The Junior Warriors played a trial on Saturday against Forster Hawks at Harry Elliott Oval at Tuncurry.
The side, which was narrowly defeated in the 2017 grand final, showed great signs of what’s to come in the upcoming season.
Josh Watkins was a standout in the forwards and Henry Hancock showed his class with two great tries in the backs.
Dungog won the trial five tries to four, on a very hot day in Forster. Both sides played well and enjoyed a well earned swim at the break wall afterwards.
All but one of the 2017 team have signed up for another year and with the addition of Sophie Pritchard and Renen Delapena the side is in great shape to have another successful season.
It’s not too late to sign up for the 2018 season and all age group are seeking new players, contact the club for registration details.
