He’s Alan Jones – and he now knows a thing or two about Dungog.
After a segment on his show last week where the virtues of Dungog were extolled through a third party, Alan Jones thought he’d get to the heart of the matter.
He interviewed Dungog Shire Mayor, Cr Tracy Norman in a segment which aired for more than five minutes.
They discussed the drought and rainfall, house prices, local museums, the Dungog Festival and the beauty of the shire.
Cr Norman said the slogan “Life as it should be” was for the whole shire not just Dungog and each of the villages had their own charm.
In the light-hearted interview she clarified that God’s Country was actually Salisbury (where she lives) “but Dungog town is pretty good too!”.
“It’s the greatest place in the universe, you've got to come up”, she told Alan who then told listeners of the 70 stations across Australia broadcasting his program, to go to the visitdungog website.
