The children’s section of the library is decorated as a rainforest.
Librarian Amanda Field said preschoolers helped with the initial concept with the idea for them to have regular visits to the library.
Dungog Shire Council’s Community engagement officer Tracey Lowrey helped secure finds for the project.
Last Friday the little book lovers heard the stories Chimpanzees for Tea and Monkey Puzzle.
Along with the rainforest-themed books, the children enjoy a range of craft activities inspired by the rainforest theme.

The library is open Tuesday and Thursday from 10.30 am - 12.30 pm and 1.30 pm - 5.30 pm; Wednesday and Friday from 1.30 pm - 5.30 pm and Saturday 9.30 am - 12.00 noon
