The “Cuppa and Chat” group has presented a $355 cheque to the Dungog Shire Palliative Care Volunteers Inc. The money was raised through a raffle the group holds at Christmas time where attendees donate small items and tickets are sold throughout the shire.
Proceeds alternate each year between the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service and the Palliative Care Volunteers.
Accepting the cheque, Margaret Jones, the Chair of Dungog Shire Palliative Care Volunteers said the donation was “wonderful”.
“This group is always so supportive and this donation will assist us in carrying out the free transport which we offer,” she said.
