The cheery man in the red suit was a star attraction at the inaugural Dowling Street Christmas party on Wednesday December 6.
The event was co-hosted by the Dungog and District Chamber of Commerce and the Dungog Shire Council, attracting hoards of families.
The Dungog High School students’ talent was on show as entertainers along with the preschoolers from Joey’s and the Dungog Ukulele Group.
Clarence Town Bowls Sport and Rec Club donated the use of a jumping castle which got use all afternoon and the annual IGA Food and Wine festival added something for the adults.
Street stalls selling Christmas gifts added to the fun atmosphere with Santa arriving on a tractor as part of a street parade which featured vintage machinery.
