The Dungog and District Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with the Dungog Shire Council are hosting the event from 5pm-8pm.
There will be a street parade featuring vintage machinery, a jumping castle, local street markets, face painting, Christmas carols and a visit from Santa. Residents are encouraged to come dressed in their favourite Christmas outfit and enjoy the local street markets and the IGA food and Wine fair.
Much of the action will be centred around the Dungog Shire Visitor Information Centre (VIC) which is home to the town’s new Christmas tree. The beautifully sculptured Australian native was donated by the Dungog District Chamber of Commerce and the gardening experts at Country Elegance Gardens and Gifts placed the tree and its decorations outside the VIC.
“We intend eventually to plant the tree in a permanent position and watch it grow,” said chamber president Jennifer Lewis.
Entries are still open (until December 4) for handmade Christmas decoration competition. The entries are being displayed at the VIC.
