Dungog’s 124^th annual show started today and continues tomorrow, Saturday, November 11.

The Dungog Show is one of Australia’s oldest country shows.

Whether you come for the agriculture, the pavilion and cattle displays or the thrill of the post splitting competitions, there’s something for everyone.

Today the traditional school’s program was a highlight for local school children who went through various stages to see sheep shearing, sample fresh cut watermelon and see the petting zoo.

The squeals of delight from the children during the piglet racing were almost as loud as the piglets themselves.

There will be piglet racing every hour from 9.30am again on Saturday  and camel races from 2pm.

The showground saw all the action from the campdraft and dog trial events.

The horse and stud stock competitions at the Dungog Show are some of the oldest competitions held on the Showground. 

They recognise the best of the best and reward the achievements of competitors and breeders. The quality of animals is always high and competition is exciting.

Don't miss the horses, cattle, dog jump, live music, Showgirl and junior Showgirl presentation, the campdraft and of course the Demo Derby.

The grand parade takes place Saturday at 2pm on Saturday and includes a lucky prize draw for all participants.
