It may only be November but get your yuletide spirit ready Dungog – you're invited to the Dowling Street Christmas Party on December 6.
The area around the Dungog Shire Visitor Information Centre is set come alive from 5-8pm on Wednesday, December 6, with an evening of fun for local families.
Residents are invited to come dressed in their favourite Christmas outfit for a street parade, a jumping castle, local street markets, carols, a visit from Santa and face painting.
The IGA food and wine fair will also be held that evening.
The event is being hosted by the Dungog and District Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with the Dungog Shire Council.
The Chamber’s President Jennifer Lewis said the party was to attract more people into the main street, to showcase the town and what it had to offer.
Businesses were also encouraged to enter the annual Business Decoration Competition which is sponsored by the Dungog Chronicle.
“All businesses and organisations are invited to take up the challenge and put together their own Christmas display,” she said.
