Karuah White handed Clarence Town their first loss of the season running out 25-run winners.
White’s tally of 8/160 proved too many for Clarence Town’s batsman who left the bulk of the scoring to opener Mathew Horn (46) and Paul Kershaw (36) as they were all out for 135.
No other Clarence Town player reached double figures as Brandon Watt and Mark Johnson both claimed three wickets and Nathan Grimshaw finished with two.
Zane Turner was the chief wicket taker for Clarence Town grabbing 3-29 from seven overs. Shannon Threlfo chimed in with 2-1 from two overs.
It was a similar story of too much being left to too few with the bat for Stockmans as they went down to Karuah Red by seven wickets at Karuah.
Stockmans captain Peter Basham finished on 53 not out and opener Joshua Chippindale made 31 as the rest of the batting order failed and they were dismissed for 115 in 24.5 overs.
Karuah Red wasted not time in reaching their target, passing it with the loss of just three wickets in 11.2 overs.
Karuah Red’s batting card was not available. Josh Simms led their bowling claiming five wickets as Brad Pinch grabbed four and took a catch.
Gresford and Bunnies had to settle for a draw after play was not possible at Gresford.
Saturday’s results leaves the competition evenly poised with Gresford technically the only unbeaten team with a bye, two wash-out draws and a round one win against Karuah Red.
Clarence Town leads the competition with three wins and a loss, Karuah Red and Karuah White both have two wins and Bunnies have one win and two draws.
Wallarobba had the bye this weekend and have a draw and two losses from the previous three rounds. Stockmans is also without a win, with three losses and a bye.
After three weeks on the sidelines Gresford will be hoping for a change of luck on the weather front when they meet Stockmans at Vacy on Saturday.
Karuah Red host Karuah White at Karuah and Bunnies are at home to Wallarobba at Dungog High School.
Clarence Town have the bye.
