When Dungog and District Neighbourcare Inc initiated a Health and Wellbeing program more than 11 years ago, Vicki took on both the Gresford Grooves and Dungog Dazzlers.
Vicki has delivered the classes on a weekly basis to loyal attendees with members from both groups reporting they had benefited enormously by having a regular exercise program that is gentle but stimulating, nurturing and social.
Tai Chi is a traditional Chinese culture that is valuable in promoting health, developing combat and self-defence skills, and improving concentration and overall well-being.
Unfortunately Vicki is moving out of the area and will no longer be able to deliver the classes.
Dungog and District Neighbourcare is currently exploring all options to maintain the classes and hopes to have some news to share with the community soon about its ongoing plans.
“Vicki will be greatly missed by everyone, not just for the wonderful classes but also for her caring, compassionate personality and her wonderful outlook on life,” said Lurline Trustum from Neighbourcare.
“Vicki has faced her own battles over the years but has managed to persevere and maintain her composure and connections with her students.
“Grooves and Dazzlers alike will miss her weekly classes and Vicki’s lovely smile.”
Neighbourcare and students recently held a special farewell for Vicki to thank her and wish her well.
