I have been invited to attend the event at the Singleton Civic Centre as a representative of the Dungog District Chamber of Commerce.
I look forward to the opportunity to discuss a range of issues, including some of the many challenges faced by small business owners across the Dungog Shire.
DINNER NETWORK MEETING
The month’s chamber dinner network meeting will be held at the Dungog RSL on Thursday, June 15.
Our guest speaker will be Mariam Chizari.
Mariam is a Community Affairs Manager for the national broadband network (nbn).
Her primary role is working with local government, local business and community groups to ensure that communities remain informed about the rollout of the network.
Her presentation will cover the following topics such as:
** What is the nbn™ network
** Why do businesses need nbn
** What are the benefits for businesses
** What technology makes up the nbn
** What is the latest on the Dungog rollout
** How do businesses connect to the nbn; and
** How to plan an installation.
Perhaps there also may be some explanation as to why, following the recent nbn rollout, some businesses have been left off the grid whilst neighbouring addresses enjoy access to 21st century technology.
Details on the evening are as follows:
VENUE: Dungog RSL, corner Lord and Brown streets, Dungog.
DATE/TIME: Thursday, June 15 at 6.30pm.
COST: $30
Bookings are essential. Please telephone Colleen Duffy on 0400 603403.
