The performance is being staged by Opera Hunter at Maitland Town Hall at 2pm on Sunday July 10 and will be performed in English.
The Marriage of Figaro is an opera buffa in four acts composed in 1786 by Mozart.
The role of Figaro will be played by Alex Sefton who has been touring with Opera Australia’s The Magic Flute and The Barber of Seville for the past two years. Exquisite young, accomplished soprano Ashlee Woodgate will play the role of Susanna.
Jared Lillehagen also of Opera Australia will play the role of the Count, and his beloved Countess will be played by soprano Georgia Hall. Georgia has been in many productions as part of the Pacific Opera
The production is sure to translate into unforgettable entertainment for people of all ages. It is definitely one of Mozart's most entertaining works.
