Nomination forms are now available for the 2018 Dungog Shire Australia Day Awards.
Last year an additional category was created to honour those quiet achievers who volunteer their time as individuals and not as members of a group or organisation.
Other categories include Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen of the Year, Junior Sports Award, Senior Sports Award and Volunteer Service to Sport.
“Last year we had a total of 19 nominations across five categories so hopefully there will be even more this time,” said committee member Janelle O’Neill.
Nomination forms are now available at Dungog Council, Dungog Festival Office, Dungog Licensed Post Office, Gresford Foodworks, Gresford Post Office Store, Clarence Town Post Office, Vacy General Store and Country Café at Paterson.
Alternatively one can be emailed to you by contacting Dungog Shire Council at shirecouncil@dungog.nsw.gov.au or phoning 49957777.
Nominations close on Friday, December 15.
The Dungog and District Chamber of Commerce President Jennifer Lewis was named last year’s Citizen of the Year.
The Young Citizen of the Year last year was Breanna Miller. Volunteer Service (as an individual) to the Community was awarded to Kim McFadyen. Senior Sports Award went to joint winners Beau Blundell and Jock Mackay. Junior Sports Award went to Ellie Wallace.
