The highway has now reopened to northbound traffic.
Update 11am:
A truck that rolled and burst into flames at Karuah in the early hours of Thursday morning has been removed, however the Pacific Highway remains closed to northbound traffic.
The semi-trailer rolled between the two Tarean Road intersections north of the Karuah Bridge about 1.30am.
Traffic is being diverted to Tarean Road.
The truck was removed about 10am, however its load and debris has yet to be cleared from the highway.

A driver is lucky to be alive after his truck rolled and burst into flames on the Pacific Highway overnight.
The semi-trailer rolled between the two Tarean Road intersections north of the bridge.
The NSW SES Port Stephens Unit was called to the road crash along with emergency services. The driver was recovered and taken to John Hunter Hospital.
The truck was totally engulfed in flames closing the northbound carriageway.
The Pacific Highway remains closed northbound at Karuah, between Tarean Road and Karuah River.
Northbound traffic is being diverted onto Tarean Road. This diversion is suitable for all vehicles.
Motorists are advised to allow extra travel time.
The closure is expected to remain in place for several hours due to an extensive clean-up operation.
Emergency services and traffic crews are on site.
