The Back to Gresford Day is happening on Sunday from 9am to 3.30pm and is full of activities for the whole family.
The event will celebrate early settlement in the area, the pioneer years and the journey throughout time.
It will also mark the 20th anniversary of the death of Gerald Capararo – a well-known man from the town who was a rodeo star.
Sculptor Bill Cummins has stepped in to help commemorate his memory, along with Gresford District Historical Society.
“I made a silhouette of Gerald riding a bush jumper,” he said.
“The day is a chance to remember the history of the place and the character of the people who have been there.”
The famous Mackie’s camp oven will make an appearance, there will be coach and horse rides, pumpkin bowling, a variety of stalls, children’s activities and projects, and old photos.
The event will be held on the museum grounds on Gresford Road next to the sportsground.
