The Dungog A & H Association will host the annual Dungog Show on November 11 and is looking for Junior Showgirls aged 15-17 and Senior Showgirls aged 18-24.
Showgirls are not only ambassadors for the area, they also promote the agricultural show movement.
“The first ever Showgirl, Margaret McKay, was from Dungog and we have a long history of being involved in the Showgirl Competition,” said Kathy McDonald from the show society.
“Showgirl is a wonderful way to make friends, have fun and get involved within the Show.
“Junior showgirl is a local competition and a way of experiencing what being a showgirl is like and preparing for Senior Showgirl in the future. “
The winner of the Senior Showgirl Competition will go onto compete in the Zone Finals, with the Zone Final winners making their way to the Sydney Royal Easter Show, spending a week with other Zone Finalists at the Showgrounds attending various events.
