Warriors coach Nathan Ward said he had challenged the second tier of players to share the burden more with the leading group and they delivered.
Ward said the Warriors were expected to win but delivered a strong performance across the playing group.
“We really need the entire 17 players on the day to perform at their best if we are to beat teams like Kotara and Belmont South,” Ward said.
“The boys to their credit took my rev-up the right way and delivered the type of performance we needed in the finals.”
However, while the load was shared more evenly, half-back Jeremy Fredericks drew particular praise from Ward.
“He is a tough little bugger and has continued to play his guts out despite suffering a recent family tragedy,” he said.
Fredericks scored 26 points for the match, including two tries and nine goals to bring his season tally 148 points for the season.
