Few people like wearing a cold and drafty hospital gown and thanks to the generosity of the CWA members, patients at Dungog Hospital now have access to a huge bundle of brand new pyjamas.

The hospital’s Charmian Bridge said the donation from the Dungog-Clarence Town CWA branch was “wonderful”.
“Through winter especially, we often run out of pyjamas,” she said.
“We can get people coming in to hospital in the middle of the night with just the clothes they are wearing. It’s good to be able to get out of a hospital gown and into a pair of pyjamas. it means a lot to the patients. It helps give them dignity.”
Ms Bridge said the donation had come at just the right time with staff often raiding their own cupboards to keep up the supply.
