Member for Upper Hunter Michael Johnsen MP said the improvements carried out as part of the NSW Government’s Boating Now Program will help ensure people continue to make the most of the state’s natural assets.

“The Wharf Reserve boat ramp at Clarence Town has been given a new lease on life and is now one of the region’s best, with improved parking and a new jetty,” Mr Johnsen said.

“Boating Now has also made a real difference at the Bridge Reserve boat ramp, with a new jetty installed and improvements such as steps to the existing amenities block.

“I’m pleased to say canoe and kayak access from the reserve has also been improved to ensure non-powered boaties also have better access to the Williams River.

“The NSW Government knows Australians love spending time outdoors and on the waterways, which is why the Boating Now Program is a great success.”

Mr Johnsen thanked the community for its continued patience while work was carried out.
