This month we were joined by Mariam Chizari Community Affairs Manager NSW of nbn co.
Mariam’s presentation covered a number of topics relevant to the rollout of the nbn network for the business community.
She also advised in terms of the delay to the nbn rollout in some parts of the Dungog had been primarily due to a change in the technology to be delivered from fixed wireless to fixed line. Nbn has a process to review the technology mix in certain areas and in the case of Dungog nbn decided to increase the fixed line footprint to ensure the best solution possible is provided to the community, particularly businesses.
Unfortunately this has resulted in a delay which is frustrating, but construction is due to start in January 2018.
Our chamber dinner meetings are held monthly at different venues throughout the Dungog Shire. Members and guests are welcome.
Our monthly networking evenings and social events offer an ideal platform for meeting, discussing and promoting business services and products. Guest speakers are welcome so if you would like to speak or invite guest speaker along please do not hesitate to let me know.
Annual membership renewals will soon be issued for 2017/2018 to our members. New members are always welcome so if you have been thinking of joining or perhaps new in business in the Dungog Shire this is an ideal time to become a member.
