The Dungog-Clarence Town CWA’s “A Day in the Bush”, which was started 11 years ago by renowned local bush poet, the late Bob Sanders, proved as popular as ever.
The annual event is one of the major fundraisers for the CWA branch, along with Quiltarama and raised $2000.
The 120 guests travelled from across the shire and well beyond to hear poetry from the Minmi Magster Bob Skelton, Dick Sanders, Tony Parry, Jenny Markwell, Claire Reynolds and Ron Brown.
The day included a performance by the Dungog Ukulele group along with a traditional CWA lunch and morning tea.
