Film crews were set up in various locations in the town as production of the second series of the Seven Network show gets underway.
“We are very pleased that parts of “Secret Daughter 2” are being shot in our area, as it continues our association with the making of Australian films such as ‘Tomorrow When the War Began’, ‘Stuffed’ and more recently ‘Devil Woman’” said Ivan Skaines, Economic Development and Tourism Co-ordinator at Dungog Shire Council.
“These are fantastic opportunities to promote Dungog to a wide audience, which should result in more people visiting our area.
“Special credit goes to staff from council’s engineering department and Roads and Maritime Services for their efforts to ensure a quick turnaround to get the project approved.”
Annette Hubber, Manager Screen Hunter also welcomed the return of The Secret Daughter cast and crew.
“The strength of the relationship between the filmmaker, Screen Hunter and the Dungog Shire Council has enabled the production to move in to town smoothly, ensuring community safety and awareness, as the production films along the main streets of Dungog”, she said.
