More than 90 people came to the opening to see the wide range of works created under the theme Faces You May Know. There were coloured works, black and white portraits and a range of techniques used to bring the canvases to life.
Artist Barbara Ramsey took out first prize for her portrait of Ed Ramsey titled Wild Man. The work, which depicts Mr Ramsey in white against a black background was a talking point during the evening. Artist Jade Eyb took out second prize for her portrait of Jim Olsen.
Dungog Care and Share Group visited the exhibition on May 19.
