For the second year, $5000 of the funds raised will be directed back to Dungog to support the free transport for cancer patients provided by the Dungog Shire Palliative Care volunteers.
Organisers had to find an alternative venue for the March event due to a prolonged period of wet weather making the showground track unsafe for walking. Thanks to the principal and staff, the event was successfully held at the Dungog Public School.
In the lead up to the event there was a range of fundraising events including a trivia night, street stalls, raffles and sale of merchandise.
The organising committee thanked all involved in the event and is looking for feedback on the change of venue and change of format from anyone who attended the event.
The feedback will assist in the planning for next year’s event which will be held on March 24 and 25.
