They will be competing across 12 categories at a gala dinner and presentation night where the winners will be announced.
“We’ve seen another year of exceptional performance from our business community and it will be great to recognise the efforts of everyone involved,” chamber president Jenny Lewis said.
The annual awards help raise awareness of the contribution local businesses bring to the community and reward those who have provided great service throughout the year.
“Size does not matter. It’s attitude, quality and ability to promote our district that count,” Jenny said.
Categories include: Tourism & Hospitality, Rural Producers & Manufacturing & Industry, Professional Services, Trades & Construction, Outstanding Employee (U 25), Outstanding Employee (O 25), Retail, Customer Service, Environment & Sustainability (Golden Axe), Outstanding New Business, Community Sector and Hall of Fame.
“There are also two special awards not open for nomination,” Jenny said.
“The Chamber Members Award, which recognises the contribution of a member who has been nominated and has promoted the chamber in the district.
“And the Overall Business Excellence Award.”
Tickets are $65 per head and can be booked at www.ddcc.org.au. Guests are invited to arrive at 6.30pm for a 7pm start. Theme for the night is “1940’s inspired black and white”.
