Paterson’s A-grade team missed the decider after their preliminary final against Port Stephens Pythons was washed-out.
The C-grade team face Lochinvar in the grand final and need a result to claim the title, after finishing second behind Lochinvar in the regular season.
Dungog defeated Lochinvar in their semi-final and captain Dennis Collison said they were confident going into the match.
“I’ve already checked the forecast and it looks like Saturday will be a good day. We just need to find a synthetic pitch as I think the turf wickets will struggle to come up in time,” Collison said.
“We beat Lochinvar in the semi-final, but they were without their captain Will Bischoff and he will improve their batting.
“We’ve got a good variety in our bowling attack with our openers Andy Muddle bowling in-swing and Charlie Hojer bowling out-swingers.
“Jake Hojer is a left-arm quick and Benny Osmond bowls big out-swingers. We then have three spinners.
“We bat right down to 11. Our number 10 and 11 would probably be five or six in a lot of other teams.”
Lochinvar returned to form with a a 70-run win against Fred Havey Memorial in the preliminary final.
Dungog face Western Suburbs in the under-12 grand final after the match was rescheduled because of a wash out on Saturday. As minor premiers Dungog will claim the title if play is called off again.
