The environmental group Sustaining the Williams Valley will hold a working bee at the Frank Robinson Park on Sunday, January 15 and wants locals to roll up their sleeves and get involved too.
Sustaining the Willams Valley formed earlier this year with the aim of addressing the damage to the banks of the Williams River and Myall Creek. The group has identified the park as the first project on a list of priorities.
Cr Tracy Norman said the work would involve weed removal and planting proper species to stabilise the bank.
People interested in helping out can sign up on the day (for insurance purposes) and get involved from 8am.
The event will be followed by a barbecue.
