Clarence Town recorded their first win of the season over Farmers at Clarence Town on Saturday in round eight of the Dungog and District Cricket Association competition.

Farmers batted first and posted a total of 119.
David Gillespie top scored for Farmers with 30, followed by Daniel Spinks with 22 and Clint Baker just behind on 19.
Peter Basham was the only other player to make double figures.
Clarence Town managed to chase that down, and then some, with eight wickets in hand.
Mathew Horn had a magnificent innings to make 85 n/o, with Peter Horn (20) and Paul Kershaw (20 n/o) also making good starts.
Wallarobba had a narrow loss to Karuah White.
Karuah White won the toss and elected to have a bat first at the Wallarobba home ground.
Karuah White managed to muster up 5/161 from their 35 overs.
Chad Walters continued his good bowling form this season for Wallarobba, with 2-21 off six.
Mathew Gehrig also bowled well to claim 2-28 off seven, while Tony Gehrig took the remaining wicket to finish with 1-23 off six.
The Gehrig talent continued with the bat, with Gerry Gehrig notching up a half century.
His contribution of 56 was the best of the day for Wallarobba.
Gehrig was well-supported by Chad Walters with 28, Mark Berry with 26 and Adam Gehrig with 25.
But it wasn’t enough to take the win, with Wallarobba falling just four runs short of the target with 6/157 from their 35 overs.
Bunnies went down to fellow local team Rebels at Dungog High School.
Bunnies batted first and were bowled out for 120.
Rebels reached the total with five wickets to spare.
Gresford were scheduled to take on Karuah Red at home on Saturday, but registered a forfeit for the match on Friday.
Next Saturday, Farmers face off against Bunnies at Vacy.
Karuah Red will take on Clarence Town at Karuah.
Karuah White will play Gresford at Tea Gardens.
Rebels are up against Wallarobba at Dungog.
There are two more games in the competition for the year, which will be played on December 10 and 17.
The 2016/17 season will resume following the Christmas break on Saturday, January 7.
