HVG captain Ryan Furness, Harrison Allomes, Oscar and Charlie Walker all compulsorily retired on 25 as the grammar boys posted 2/132.
Clarence Town lost early wickets as their batsmen tried to keep pace with the run chase.
Jack Boyton was the best for the bat retiring on 25.
Furness was named man of the match.
