The Showground has a few new things for you to see this year including improvements to the Showground.

There is a new walkway. Something that has been needed for at least a generation, maybe two. It goes from the animal nursery, across the ground, past the new bar, right around past the Dodge ’Ems, along past the BBQ building and down to the grandstand. The walkway is a great improvement. All those years of stumbling over uneven ground  to get from one side of the ground to the other are over. It is now a pleasant stroll. 

As you pass the northern bar, you will surely see that it is a completely new building. It is another great improvement. A level area has been built around the bar, and the "fenced in" paddock is now level, with some tables and stools etc. 

The animal nursery has been improved and expanded, and Old Macdougall's Racing Piglets are set to make a return –  with a longer racecourse. The little grunters and squealers will be racing through the trees this year. The kids just love to see Peppa Pig and her mates racing, and you will too.

The Rooftop Express will be performing at the Dungog Show this year, don't forget. This wild west show is a first class arena presentation  with highly defined and visually enchanting stunts. It features lovable bush characters that encourage crowd participation, and is not to be missed. if you don't come to the show for anything else, you must come to see The Rooftop Express. It was a smash hit at the Brisbane Ekka, and it will be at Dungog, too.

Dungog Show has been around for one-and-a-quarter centuries, and it is a great day out. Friday is mostly camp drafting, where you will see some of the best stock horses and stockmen and women that you are likely to see anywhere, doing their thing. Friday is free entry to the ground. Saturday, you pay at the gate.

At $15 adults and $5 for the kids, it has to be the cheapest day out  in the business.
