Intermediate one team Dynamites secured the major and minor premiership with a tight win against Glen Oaks Firebirds.
The two teams were fierce competitors all season, which showed in the grand final.
The game was intense, physical and nail-biting from start to finish.
The first quarter went goal for goal which resulted in a draw going in to the second.
Even with some nervous energy still on court, Dynamites were able to score from a few turnovers and led by two goals at the half time break.
But the Firebirds returned to court in third quarter with great ascendancy and fought hard for possession.
A few errors from Dynamites let Firebirds take the lead at end of third quarter by three goals.
A passionate talk from the coach at end of third quarter saw the Dynamites team return to court with fight and determination to turn the game around.
They pressured Firebirds on every procession, which forced error.
Dynamites then made sure they scored from every option.
Firebirds dug in and the game looked like it would go into extra time but Dynamites showed their skill by scoring several quick goals to put them back in front.
They retained the lead until end of game to win 37-33.
Intermediate two team The B.G’s had a strong win over Koori Dolphins Deadly Sista’s.
When the two teams have met during the regular season, it was always a physical, intense game and the grand final was no different.
The first half of game was pretty even, but The B.G’s just held the upper hand on the scoreboard.
When the B.G’s returned to court for the last half, they showed their dominance and determination to secure the win.
The final score was 32-21.
Dungog Netball Association president Sam Rumbel said it was a fantastic result for this team, as they have now played in four consecutive grand finals.
Little Devils went down fighting in the intermediate three grand final against minor premiers Medowie Moxeys.
Moxeys were the team to beat all season, and Little Devils had not won a game against them.
The first half of game was evenly matched with Moxeys leading by just two goals at half time break.
Moxeys came out hard in the second half and continued to increase the gap in score.
The Little Devils didn’t give up until the final whistle was blown, but went down 38-27.
This was a third consecutive grand final for the young team.
Rumbel said it was a great result to have three out of six teams compete in grand finals for what is a small club.
“Congratulations and great work to all coaching staff and players,” she said.
“Every player from each team showed great determination and sportsmanship and represented our club with pride.”
Dungog Netball Club was also the recent recipient of an equipment grant from ANZ Netball Nation.
The grant included goal post pads, netballs, bibs, training cones, drink bottles, whistles and a sports bag.
The club was one of seven in the country selected for the equipment grant.
