The band are gearing up to bring a serious dose of funk to the Settler’s Arms Hotel on Friday, October 28.
Undoubtedly one of Australia’s favourite 80s acts, the group were one of, if not the first Australian act to truly embrace the now-iconic new wave sound, spearheading a decade of rich, disco-infused Australian electro.
Fronted by singer, songwriter and guitarist Brian Canham, Pseudo Echo’s international reputation blew up in 1986 with a fresh cover of Funkytown.
Not only did the track shoot up the Australian charts, where it remained for a whopping 12 weeks, but it hit the top ten in the UK, USA and beyond.
