The 43-year-old mother, who cannot be identified, appeared in Tamworth Local Court on Wednesday morning charged with murder.
The mother waived her right to a contested committal hearing.
She was committed to stand trial by Magistrate Roger Prowse.
The woman is charged in connection to the disappearance and alleged murder of her 16-month-old daughter at Scone between 2000 and 2001.
Magistrate Prowse adjourned the matter to Sydney Supreme Court on October 7.
The woman will remain on conditional bail.
Court documents allege the woman murdered her daughter between Christmas Day in 2000, and February 28, 2001.
The toddler wasn’t reported missing until 2004.
Her remains have never been found.
The court has previously been told the brief of evidence in the case is more than 6000 pages.
Strike Force Kununa was launched by Hunter Valley detectives and the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad to investigate the alleged murder which culminated in the woman’s arrest at her home at Evans Head on the north coast of NSW.
Three inquests have been held in relations to the toddler’s disappearance in 2011, 2012 and 2013.
At the woman’s previous appearance before the court, Magistrate Prowse was critical of delays in the case.
"It's entirely and utterly unsatisfactory," he said in July, criticising the delays across the justice system.
"If you put the justice system and a dead snail in a race you would bet on the dead snail.”
